I was quite surprised how quickly this drawing came together. Full disclosure: I used a grid to scale up the reference photo, which cut down all the time it would take to check (and recheck) proportions. Once the image was drawn it was all about adding the values (shading) with a variety of graphite pencils. Then I used a blending stump, and lastly, a couple of erasers to add highlights here and there. Overall, I’m pretty happy with it!
