Peek inside my sketchbook!
I’ve always loved the fluid lines of the “Art Nouveau” movement. So, I thought I’d try my hand at it by copying one of Alphonse Mucha’s works from 1900. I discovered the style is actually quite difficult to achieve. One must be very confident with their pen strokes to get that “S” shape, typically found in the style. My figure appears stiff in comparison. However, I am pleased with my first attempt, and it will live quietly within my sketchbook.
