Streets of Cuba

A peek inside my sketchbook…

I wanted to challenge myself while having the freedom to draw without stopping to edit my work, like I usually do. I found a complicated image and just went for it, using a pen so I couldn’t erase. The purpose wasn’t perfection! It was about being in the moment. I’m actually quite pleased with the results. You’ll note a fluidity to it; it’s not about straight lines, like many architectural drawings. I found that I  really enjoyed working on this piece. It kind of took me back to my childhood, when I’d draw just about anything just for the thrill of it.
